Touring family

The 2018 Harley Davidson Touring motorbikes are ideal for long distance rides. This family is designed to give comfort both to its rider and passenger while touring or travelling long distances. It also has more storage space compared to other HD family models. This also features air suspension at the back which may be adjusted depending on the weight of the luggage, and passenger. However, this is harder to maneuver compared to other models because of its weight.

Sportster family

The Sportster family has the classic low-seat style popular during the 1950s. This is ideal for cruising ride, but not for long distance rides. It only has a 4.5-gallon tank that is why it is not advisable for touring. However, this is the most user-friendly and relatively has lighter weight compared to other HD families.

Softail family

Just like the Sportster, the Softail family features the classic, old school look of the early Harley-Davidson models. The 2018 Softail model features lesser vibration through better motors with dual internal counter-balancers, and 32 pounds lighter than the 2017 model. Since it is lighter, it produces less heat which means more torque and more horsepower. You can use this family for long distance rides, but it cannot provide the comfort and luggage space the Touring family has. Visit Gasoline Alley to learn more.

Street family

The Street family is ideal for city driving. It has a streamlined body that allows the rider to skip the city’s traffic. The street family is also lightweight, which can easily be handled and managed by the rider. It features a low seat height, which shifts the centre of gravity of the rider, allowing the rider easy access to the controls of the motorbike.
